    III. PROBLEM PRESENTED:


    The client is seeking for a possible financial assistance to defray expenses for the
    funeral services rendered for her mother, Angeles Pontillas, who died last October
    12, 2022.
    IV. BRIEF FINDINGS:

    The family’s modest income was very insufficient to meet their daily demands at
    home. Presently, the increased costs of living made the client’s family feel financially and
    emotionally burdened. The client’s mother died last October 12, 2022 due to Malnutrition,
    Poor Food Intake and Old Age. The present crisis made the client decided to seek outside
    resources in order to alleviate present difficulty since she admitted that she could not solve
    current problem without external intervention. Immediate relatives could not extend
    financial support since they too are prioritizing the needs of their own families.

    V. RECOMMENDATION:

    Above facts considered, the undersigned social worker is respectfully


    recommending the client, Lorielyn J. Pontillas, to avail burial assistance through the
    AICS program of the Crisis Intervention Section in Department of Social Welfare and
    Development, Regional Office VIII, Tacloban City.
