THEME

“CLIMATE OF
CHANGE”
As creatures of habit, we’re often conditioned to be change averse.
And yet, our brains are constantly adapting to our surrounding environment.
In a time when so much of what we are accustomed to is in constant and
uneasy flux, embracing change is something we can practice as what
Filipinos have always been known for, to be extremely resilient. Our country
has not experienced an epidemic like COVID-19 in recent history, but we are
so used to natural calamity that it is something we have come to expect. It is
something we dust ourselves off of, move on from and laugh about. In this
activity, you will be given the chance to contemplate and evaluate things
based on the data that you have gathered from observing, interviewing and
reading articles coming from appropriate sources that provide information on
how you and your fellow Filipino students adapt to and embrace the “new
normal” way of learning. This will help you realize that that there are many
aspects of learning that have changed and that you must learn to adapt to
as a responsible student and citizen of our country.

MOST ESSENTIAL LEARNING COMPETENCIES

These skills are expected to be mastered as you go along with the
completion of your tasks.

FINAL LEARNING EVIDENCE

Reaction Paper

You are expected to write a REACTION PAPER about three (3) things
you and your fellow students have to change with your study habits in order
to adapt to the new normal way of learning. The paper will contain your
personal experiences and opinions or judgments based on the data you
gathered through observations, interviews, articles read and researches from
appropriate sources. Your reaction paper should also discuss the recurring
problems on the previous and current way of delivering lessons and the
solutions as well as your suggestions to make it better, and the role of media
as a means in delivering quality education. It should also provide a list of
legitimate sources of information. This will be done either hand written or
encoded depending on what is available at home. Do this in an A4 size bond
paper.

RESOURCES NEEDED
 Paper
 Ballpen/Pencil
 Laptop/Cellphone/Tablet
 Internet
 Printed Materials (Magazines, Newspapers, Articles, etc.)

PROCEDURE
Practical Research 1
1. Formulate interview questionnaire on the three study habits that
students have change in the “new normal” way of education.
2. Conduct an interview to your fellow students in your school.
3. Observe the interviewee as he/she answers the questions during the
interview process as well as the pulse of other students from other
schools in the “new normal” way of education.
4. Submit your interview questionnaire and your notes of the interview to
your subject teacher.

Pagbasa at Pagsusuri ng Iba’t Ibang Teksto Tungo sa Pananaliksik

5. Browse on the internet about how can students adapt in the new normal
education.
6. Gather as much information from legitimate sources; it could be
from printed or non-printed materials.

Media and Information Literacy

7. Discuss the role of media as an avenue in new normal education.

8. Determine the recurring problems regarding the past and new way of
delivering lessons.

Statistics and Probabilities, Reading and Writing Skills, 21st Century Literature
from the Philippines and the World
9. Start writing your reaction paper based on the data you gathered
about the upcoming the new normal education.
10. Share your personal experiences, opinions and stand then support it
with the information you have gathered.

Basic Calculus II
11. Formulate possible solutions based on the identified problems past and
new way of delivering lessons.

Aquaculture NC II
12. Give your suggestions on how to deliver learning and what to observe
on activities that can only be done with facilities in the school given the
restrictions brought about by the pandemic
Physical Education & Health
13. Share and suggest physical activities to engage in order to stay active
and healthy while staying at home in order to cope with stress and problems
brought about by the pandemic.
