Attending class is important for receiving guidance and learning materials to be successful, but participating is difficult for the student due to social anxiety. As a shy person, they are afraid to express opinions or voluntarily participate in class out of fear of being laughed at for mistakes. In the past, a teacher humiliated the student for an incorrect answer, and since then they have been afraid to answer questions again despite knowing the answers due to that negative experience.

In class, I receive the direction and guidance I need to be successful
one day. By attending every class, I will not miss important materials; I will also think more clearly about course topics and be better prepared, but participating in class is a struggle for me with social anxiety. It is hard for me as a shy person; I don’t express my opinions, and I don’t participate voluntarily because I am too afraid of making a mistake and being laughed at. Teachers sometimes mark their students down because of their passive behavior. I remember when I had a teacher who asked me a question, and when I didn't answer correctly, I was humiliated, and since then I have been afraid to answer again, even though I knew the answer.
