Methodology

This study sought to determine the perception of Reserve Officer’s Training Corps to SHS. Qualitative
research design specifically descriptive research design will be used for this study. The
Phenomenological research focuses on subjective lived experiences of the participants in order to
understand phenomenon. Here, the researcher concerned with the feelings of the participants
regarding a particular event or activity, hence, the uniqueness of their lived situations can be described.
This research design will be used based on the experience of SHS to the implementation of ROTC
whether they are knowledgeable and capable in participating to this program. Gathering of data will
execute through data collection method such as interviews and questionnaires with our chosen
questions about the perception, background knowledge, and experiences of the participants. The target
participants are 10 Senior High School students of different sections and strands of Dr. Panfilo Castro
National High School.
