SEMI- DETAILED LESSON PLAN IN MATHEMATICS

I. OBJECTIVES
At the end of the lesson the pupil will be able to:
1. Understand what is addition
2. Demonstrate addition through game activity
3. Appreciate and relate addition in real world example

III. PROCEDURE
A. ROUTINE ACTIVITY
Prayer
Greeting the pupils and then ask them to seat properly
Attendance
Review

B. MOTIVATION
Teacher will show some pictures related to the previous lesson.
Teacher will connect the previous lesson to the new lesson which is addition.
Teacher will introduce addition by "putting together” or "joining together” of the pictures.
C. LESSON PROPER
Today we are going to learn about addition.
Discussion
Teacher will explain what is addition.
Defining addition, addens and sum.
Demonstrate addition through utilizing real world example

D. APPLICATION
Addition game
The teacher will show numbers like 5+8 , Learners will answer through demonstration in
a game called " Add line up”.

E. GENERALIZATION
Teacher will ask the learner’s what is addition and the definition of addens and sum
( Utilize real world example call on students)

IV. EVALUATION
I. Add the following numbers
1. 2+2=
2. 3+2 =
3. 4+5=
4. 5+2=
5. 9+1 =

II. Activity game “ What number I am?”


Teacher will by group the learners into three .
One representative of the group will go the front and guise the number given by the teacher.
The learner will call one of his/her group to give a clue about the number. Through the clue
given by groupmates learner will solve and say the right number.
V. ASSIGNMENT
Add the following;
1. 5+4=
2. 7+7=
3. 9+1=
4. 5+5=
5. 6+7=
