2. Story Telling
The Khan family is on holiday in Spain. Mr Khan hired a car and the family decides to drive to
nearby village to visit the castle there. On the way, they pass a donkey carrying a bundle of
sticks. After they have seen a castle, the Khan family comes back to village for a snack. Outside
the café is the same donkey they saw before, enjoying a rest and a bucket of water. While the
family is eating, a cat and her kittens play outside. As the clock sticks four, some Spanish
dancers skip into the courtyard in front of the café. The ladies carry castanets and wear dresses
in bright crimson, yellow and black. They clap and dance, swirling their dresses around and
clicking their castanets, " ck,ck,ck!"

2. Story Telling
It is almost the end of summer.Eric and his family have gone to stay on Ten Acre Farm for Seven
days' holiday. Every morning they get up to watch the cows being milked. After that, Eric likes to
help out with the farm chores. He helps fetch buckets of water from the well. Then he pours the
water into troughs for the cows to drink. Then Eric helps to feed the hens and collect the
eggs.He takes the eggs into the kitchen for breakfast. Ellie,the farmer's wife, cracks open the
eggs by tapping their shells on the side of the pan: "e,e,e". Then everyone eats fried eggs for
breakfast
Look at the picture and ask the class what they can see.
As they point something out ,ask if it has the sound in it.
If it does , emphsise the sound as you say the word.
Being able to hear the sounds in words is an important skill for spelling.

2. Story Telling
It is the school's summer fun day. In the morning, the children do fun things in the classroom,
and in the afternoon there are races. Helen, Harry, Hanif and Harriet are in the hopping race.
Mr. Heath starts the race. "One, two, three, GO!" he shouts, and waves his hat in the air. Helan,
Harry, Hanif and Harriet hop as fast as they can. It is a hot day and hopping is hard work. Harriet
is huffing and puffing by the time she finishes. "h,h,h!" Miss Hopkins gives everyone huge
drink.

Like 'Rover' ,but Robert likes 'Ben'. Robert can't decide! He goes up to his bedroom with the
puppy to fetch his roller skates. While Robert looks for them,the puppy explores the
bedroom.Suddenly, Roberts hears a loud' ruff, rrrrrrrrrrr!' The puppy has found a blanket and is
shaking it from side to side. Robert gets hold of the blanket and tries to pull it away, but the
puppy hangs on tightly, going, "rrrrrrrr!" the blanket rips."Oh dear," says Robert, holding ripped
blanket up."‘This looks like a rag now. I know, we’ll call you Rags!"

Mrs. Morris and her son Marvin have invited his friends Milly and Molly for supper. The children
are playing outside when they hear Mrs Morris call for supper.They all come inside, wash their
hands and sit down at the table. " I'm hungry!" says Marvin, rubbing his tummy. ' Mmmmmm, I
hope spaghetti and the meat balls'. ' I hope its hot dogs, mmmmm,' says Molly.' I hope its
hanburgers,' says Milly, rubbing her tummy. Then Mrs. Morris comes in, carrying a steaming
dish 'Lamb and peas,' says the children',mmmmm'. ' I like that meal of all!' says Marvin,
