Demo Limit Laws (AutoRecovered)
Demo Limit Laws (AutoRecovered)
I. Objective:
At the end of a sixty-minute period, learners will be able
to evaluate the limit of algebraic functions (polynomial, rational,
and radical) using the basic limit theorems.
III. Procedure:
A. Preliminaries: Prayer, Greetings, Checking of attendance
B. Review: Basic theorems on limits.
C. Motivation: “ANAGRAM GAMES” through powerpoint
presentation.
D. Lesson proper.
1. Presentation of the topic and the objective.
2. Start the topic by giving problems involving finding limits
of the functions through table of values and graphing.
3. Present some algebraic functions (polynomial, rational,
and radical). Guide the leaners in finding the limits of
these functions through applying different basic limit
theorems/laws.
4. Group Activity: Divide the class into 4 groups and give
them problems about finding limits of the functions using
different basic limit theorems.
Group 1:
a) lim ❑(2 x +1) b) lim ❑(3 x 4−2 x−1)
x →1 x →0
Group 2:
1−5 x √ 2 x +5
a)lim ❑ b)lim ❑
x →1 1+3 x2 + 4 x 4 x →2 1−3 x
Group 3:
lim ❑(2 x3 −4 x 2 +1)
a) x→−1 b) lim ❑ √ x +4
x →0
Group 4:

x2 – 4 x +2 x−3
a) lim ❑ b) lim ❑ 2
x →2 x−2 x →1 x −3 x+2

V. Assignment:
A. Differentiate the following functions:
