THE 5R’S OF REVIVAL

Text: Mark 12:29-30

And Jesus answered him, the first of all the commandments is, Hear, O
Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord:
And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy
soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength, this is the first
commandment.
INTRODUCTION
What is revival?
An improvement in the condition or strength of something.
The awakening or quickening of God’s people to their true nature and
purpose.
What is the importance of prayer in revival?
Through prayer we are endued with the power of the holy spirit.
Prayer keeps us focused and humble.
I. Reawakening Your Heart

-The genuine rescue of our heart begins with our genuine pursuit of

The rest would kill us.
bahagi ng ating puso, a part of our soul, a bit of our mind and a piece
of our strength.

If
we genuinely want to move deeper into the loving presence of God,
pursue him with all of our heart.

Jesus told us to ask, seek, knock, press in, chase. Ito ang mga bagay
na dapat nating gawin. Bakit nararapat na ipagpatuloy? Dahil bihira
Today, will you run and jump-wholeheartedly-into the refuge of God’s
love for you?

Jeremiah 29:13

And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with
all your heart.

Luke 11:9-10

And I say unto you, Ask, and it shall be given you;seek, and ye shall
find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you.
For everyone that asketh receiveth; he that seeketh findeth; and to
him that knocketh it shall be opened.

II. Restoring Your Soul

Galatians 5:1

Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free,
and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.

Each of us is doomed to die, trapped within the black prison of our

sin. But because of love, Jesus drawn us out.
makasariling kagustuhan. Ginawa ng Panginoon ang lahat lahat para
sa atin. All that is left for us to do, is simply to turn to him-and reach
for him-with all we have. In Jesus, we have complete freedom.
Every dark place
of suffering we will ever know in this life only has three sides. Nothing
in this world can contain the freedom we have-except our own selfish
desire to live in a three-sided tomb.

kalaban. O pwede din nating hayaang tamaan tayo..it depends on us..

But remember, there is a reason God created us with eyes on the front
of our heads and not the back. We were never made to look backward;
we are designed to look forward.
If you want a painful life, keep focusing on your pain. If you want a
free life in Jesus, keep focusing on Him.

Let us fix our eyes on the truth of His word because it will restore our
soul.

Colossians 1:9-11

For this cause we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray
for you, and to desire that ye might be filled with the knowledge of his
will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding

That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful
in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God

Strengthen with all might, according to his glorious power, unto all
patience and longsuffering with joyfulness.

III. Renewing Your Mind

James 4:8
Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye
sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded.
Our enemy is patient. It is his whisper that fuels the selfish justification that
our sin is “no big deal”, that it does not control us, that it does not hurt
anyone.”
When our desire to become like him is greater than our desire for all other
things, this is where purity is renewed. And where purity is thriving, so is
the presence of God himself. And our pursuit of purity is so precious to our
Father’s heart that it draws his face, his love, and his presence.
And this is where revival rises.

IV. Reinforcing Your Courage

Psalm 27:1

The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The Lord
is the strength of my life, of whom shall I be afraid?

Joshua 1:9

Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not

afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the Lord thy God is with thee
withersoever thou goest.

It means that we

can trust him to be with us through every challenge we will ever face.

Bilang mananampalataya, mahaharap tayo sa mga pagsubok. At ang

Panginoon ay nasa tabi lang natin.

Courage is the understanding that it is better to be anywhere

uncomfortable with Jesus than to be anywhere comfortable without
him.

When we willingly position our hearts within his-no matter what the
circumstances we are in -this is where everything that he is become
ours. His love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, gentleness and self-
control flood into our soul. And in this place, there is peace.

No matter what we face in this world, we can choose to stand within

the peace that Jesus offers. Standing in his peace is where “taking
heart” or courage is forged. And we can rest in his courage because we
know that He has already overcome every battle that we will ever
encounter in this life.

V. Reigniting Your Love for the Lost

Mark 12:29-31

And Jesus answered him, the first of all the commandments is, Hear, O
Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord:
And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy
soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength, this is the first
commandment.
And the second is like, namely this, thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself.
There is none other commandment greater than these.
sumunod.

Revival is reawakened within a heart when it chooses to:

 Embrace freedom by breaking the boomerang of the past

 Pursue God by getting in the truck of his presence.
 See the unseen with the Father’s love

Revival is restored within a soul when it chooses to:

 Trust that Jesus will never ever let go.
 Abide in faith and not be faithless any longer.
 Pursue forgiveness by letting that junk go.
 Engage worship to break off the enemy’s attacks.

Revival is renewed within a mind when it chooses to:

 Stop serving God with a spiritual flat tire and obey Him.
 Allow belief to become breakthrough
 Radiate joy, the hallmark of the redeemed
 Pursue purity to see God’s face

Revival is reinforced into strength when it chooses to lean into:

 Courage over being scared-which allows the enemy to win.

 Standing firm, knowing the enemy might start the fight, but Jesus
always finishes it.
 Genuine discernment/pag-unawa, which begins with genuine
listening.

Revival begins when one chooses to be clothed with the very presence of the
Lord Jesus Christ…
