Instructions: Interview a minimum of one teacher about the philosophy of education of

their school and specifically answer the following questions.

1. One night, cellphones were stolen right there from your home while you
were asleep. There was no indication of force entry, so vou claim that the
manner by which your cellphone was stolen was highly professional.

Analysis:
 The “professional” title on the text is synonymous to the word “expert”
which means having special skills and knowledge derived from
experience. The thief is professional in terms of being skillful of stealing,
and we can conclude that he is having ability to do such perfect crime
without being caught means that he is an expert. On the other hand, being
professionally skilled is very different from being morally professional as
stealing is not a profession but a crime and committing theft is morally
unethical that is punishable by law. A person involved can be equipped
with skills but not with ethical values.
 If you were unaware of what had happened when your cellphones were
stolen, then the thief who took them was likely an extremely professional
guy. To put it another way, the thief was able to steal your belongings
without you being aware of it because that individual is an expert in doing
things such as plundering, and we could say that it is his expertise
because he didn't leave any mark or indication on that particular event, so
he is considered to be a pro because of that fact. The following scenario:
The use of the word "professional" in this context enables us to convey the
idea of professionalism in a connotation or facet that is undesirable to the
listener or viewer. It holds the quality of being an expert or highly skilled in
carrying out bad or illegal activities without ever suffering a single defeat
while doing so, and this is something that it has always been capable of
achieving.

2. Father tells floor tiles-setter whom he asked to work on the newly-

contracted bathroom: "Gusto ko yung gawang propesyonal, malinis
maganda.

Analysis:
 As we analyze this case, the father's point of view for the word
"professional" represent how his image will see by other people. He said,
"Gusto ko yung gawang propesyonal, malinis at maganda." This clearly
shows that he want his newly constructed bathroom to be more organized
because in his perspective, professional defines how his image will be
seen by people around him.
 Additionally, if the floor tile-setter made a bad tiling job, it can obviously
see starting from how the tiles are joint together, alignment of each tiles or
the pattern of the tiles that should be follow are even as well as the
subfloor, where the floor tiles will be stack should be leveled. If those are
not attain, it can lead for cracked or loose tiles and can be easily
damaged. That's why the father wants a professionally made floor tiles
that can last longer since it will be placed in the bathroom where it will
become wet most of the time.

3. She is highly professional in her ways. She deals with everyone including
her daughter – employee professionally.
Analysis:
 The professional stated in here was aligned to being a professional in a
work environment and having proper work etiquette. In the sentence it was
clearly indicated that she was putting the work above everything else and
treated everyone fairly, equally and without favoritism.
 Individuals being acknowledged by others as professionals is a real thing
to be remembered. Professional means consistently showing the
standards to people surrounding you or whenever you go. It is somehow
related to not declining the existence of anyone. It's a way of saying that
you know how to communicate and socialize with people stunningly
without giving any negative vibes to everyone or offending any one. The
way you behave, made people comfortable with you because they
perceived you as a professional or well-mannered one. We do encounter
different people each day and we do not know how their minds work or
their preferences for people they don't know as well. As a professional you
know how to deal with any circumstances whether in a house or public
place full of many people.

4. "How unprofessional of her to act that way. Teacher pa naman din."

Analysis:
 The meaning of professional that is stated here is how they should act and
expect to say or do as a certain someone who is professional. For
example, it says that "Teacher pa naman din" which means they were
expected them to act and speak as a teacher, the way how a professional
teacher should be. Sometimes when we see a teacher we expected them
to have skills in communication, knows how to listen, collaborate, adapt,
have some empathy and patience. Any acts or words that might goes
against with it might see as unprofessional.
 In life, we are always being judged with or without a profession. The only
difference is that, how people approach us knowing our profession, how
people sees us and how people look after us. But in reality, sometimes
those people who doesn't have a profession seems to act that they are
professional.

5. Medical doctors, lawyers, education consultant are entitled to professional

quiz for expert services rendered.

Analysis:
 Everyone is aware that professional professions such as those of a doctor,
lawyer, or education consultant require a lot of effort and skill to perform
well. In order to be a part of this, individuals must pass a professional
assessment in order to be recognized as experts who will offer people the
best service. Professionalism is significant in this line of work. It is indeed
true because everyone will be looking for this quality. Given the variety of
people and situations they will encounter while working in this career field,
it is important that they maintain a positive outlook and serve as inspiration
for others. People might anticipate doing well in their careers and
producing high-quality work. But one of the most important things they can
do to gain respect and succeed in their careers is to conduct themselves
professionally and with passion.
 For instance, we can't guarantee that everyone in a specific course is
already good enough. But then, when a medical doctor neglect the
professional quiz and performed according to his/her likes then the
probability of failure might take place. And as professionals, we don't want
that to happen. And so, taking the professional quiz is not just a
requirement but a commitment to test the capabilities of professional
experts.
6. After his oath taking as a professional teacher, he was congratulated and
was told "Now you are truly professional.

Analysis:
 In this scenario, the word professional was used to imply that the person
being referred to is now a full-pledged professional teacher or someone who
is part of the society working as a teacher. The word professional was also
used to highlight the completion and achievements of the teacher, indicating
the new beginning of being a professional in the field of teaching. The
context clue here that supports how the word professional is defined in this
situation is the oath taking ceremony for professional teachers that he, the
person mentioned by the speaker, attended. The oath taking ceremony
symbolizes the teachers' dedication and commitment to teaching with a
pledge in which they state their commitment to the duties, obligations, and
responsibilities of a professional teacher. This oath taking ceremony creates
a binding contract to hold them responsible for their future behavior or
actions and decisions in the field of teaching. That is why taking an oath for
teachers defines that they are professionals in the field of teaching who are
value-driven, guided by principles and passion, having a purpose bigger
than themselves, and holding themselves accountable for their thoughts,
words, and actions.
