Entry 8 Artifacts

My first artifact is an arrangement I made of Toby Fox’s “Megalovania” for my trumpet student.
I created this arrangement to meet the interests of my student while introducing new concepts
(octaves). You will see that I changed the key to be in a playable range and shortened the length.
This artifact demonstrates my ability to help my students develop an understanding of the
concept in a relevant way.

My second artifact is a student example of the 3rd Grade Composer Research Project. Students
selected a famous composer and created a Google Slides presentation during my Spring 2023
Student Teaching Placement. You will see composer facts, famous pieces, and recordings of the
music. This artifact demonstrates my ability to integrate cross-content connections with guidance
and abundant resources.

My third artifact is a video lesson from my Spring 2023 Student Teaching placement. In this
lesson, students partake in a social-emotional learning lesson focused on autism. You will see
students playing instruments, driving toy cars, and interacting with each other. This artifact
demonstrates my ability to help my students develop understanding through movement and play.
