Entry 9 Artifacts

My first artifact is some notes I took at the 2023 KMEA In-Service Workshop. I took these notes
to better remember and apply my findings to my teaching. In my notes you will see that I
attended a wide variety of sessions to gain knowledge from all aspects of teaching music. This
artifact demonstrates my ability to participate in ongoing professional learning and makes plans
for improvement of my practice.

My second artifact are some notes I took from my Spring 2023 Student Teaching placement on
in-service days. I took these notes to better remember and apply my findings to my teaching. In
my notes you will see a few different topics focused on teaching values, behavioral support, and
more. This artifact demonstrates my ability to reflect on my teaching, as well as seek strategies
for professional growth.

My third artifact is a video lesson of the 3rd Grade Composer Research Project. Students selected
a famous composer and created a Google Slides presentation during my Spring 2023 Student
Teaching Placement. You will see students move to a quiet place in the room to work, that I
modeled how to navigate resources visually on the projector screen, and verbally explained the
steps we were going to take. This met my kinesthetic, visual, and auditory learners. This artifact
demonstrates my ability to meet the needs of each learner through evidence and reflected
practice.
