I will observe my students with the same checklists before the lesson is implemented so I am able to show their growth with the data that will be collected
throughout the lesson.

In order to collect data on these two standards I will use a
checklist for each topic.
Initiative
 The student is active in participation.
 The student can carry out a project/ activity on
their own.
 A student shows consistency in skit and can work
without teachers help and support.
Innovation and Creativity
 The student shows they can take a script and turn it
into real life acting.
 The student uses their imagination and creativity
skills to show emotion and feelings throughout the
skit.
Procedural steps:
1. Handout the mini musical skits.
2. Review and read through each skit option so the
students are familiar with all choices.
3. Let the students get into groups and assist them if
they need help.
4. Give the students 10-15 minutes to prepare their
performance.
5. Walk around and assist groups if they need support.
6. Let the students perform and appreciate peer’s hard
work.

given enough room to act and put
on their skit.

I will combine every student’s skills onto the same
checklist so I can look at the classroom development big
picture. This will allow for me to examine what I need to
focus on in future lessons.
Differentiation:
I can offer different skit options, so the students are able to
find a character that they resonate most with and feel
comfortable representing.
Authentic Materials: (Describe authentic real life, hands-on
materials.)
Skits (musicals), props, costumes
Adult Roles:
Provide the skits to the students.
Observe and be there for the students if they need support
and help while working.
Collect data on the students and what they show they are
able to do while performing and working.
Observe and make sure all students are staying safe.

I can also let students choose a peer they feel comfortable

performing with to ease any anxiety that may come with
being in front of an audience.
