Between China and Japan is the small

the Second World War in 1945, Korea was
divided into the Democratic People's Republic of
Korea to the north and the Republic of Korea to
the south, each of which is a sovereign state with
its own political ideology.

In this lesson, we are going to learn about

Korean cultures and tradition.

The language, culture, and customs of Korea

have remained distinctly their own. They live in a
Confucianist society that values families and
upholds many of its traditional customs in
modern times.

Korea and North Korea.

the East Asian cultural sphere. This functions as
a memorial to their ancestors of the participants.

parents? Or even when you have your own
family, do you prefer to stay with your parents?

In Korean culture, the family is important, and

the father serves as the head of the family. And
children are expected to assist their parents, to
