DISASTER PREPAREDNESS". –Petra Nemcova
The "Tara Na't Maghanda!" is one of the activity in the Tara Na Series of the social
work practitioners from Western Mindanao State University. It is a Disaster Risk
and Reduction Management and Waste Management Seminar that was conducted
at the social hall of Barangay Tetuan yesterday, April 20, 2023. It was hosted by
the social work practitioners of WMSU. The aim of this seminar is to educate the
residence of the identified depressed areas of Barangay Tetuan namely,
Mormons drive, Walk drive, Riverville, and V-mar regarding disaster's risk and
reduction management since, these areas are prone to flood. As well as, waste
wanagement since, improper waste management is one of the common identified
problem in the 4 areas.
The speakers on the Disaster Risk and Reduction Management seminar were
Hon. Marvin A. Policarpio, and personnels from the Bureau of Fire Protection
(Tetuan Fire Substation) SFO3 Tito N. Lledo Jr, FO3 Rogie Durens, and FO1
Alfredo Bernardo.
In the seminar regarding waste management, Hon. Daniel Marquez served as the
speaker.
The Seminar will not be feasible without the support, and help coming from this
concerned, and generous individuals, institution, and businesses. The social
work practitioners of Western Mindanao State University extends their warmest
