To further improve Aery’s present skills, the following are recommended:

1. Continue Speech Communication Development sessions with emphasis on behavior

modification, sensory integration, cognitive and on functional communication play.
2. Start exploration of social skills group or small sized play group (2-3) children to initiate
social skills training.
3. Emphasize on the importance of compliance at home. Parent and caregiver education in
handling Aery’s behavior and development of social maturity should be explained thoroughly
to the caregivers, as well as techniques in handling Aery at home and eventually, in school.
Continue close coordination with caregivers at home, through the use of communication
notebook. Encourage her compliance through her parents and relatives, to ensure consistency.
4. Target appropriate play by providing toys which encourage exploration such as lego, dolls,
puzzles and blocks. Also provide toys that encourage symbolic play, such as cooking set,
doctor set, fruits and vegetables and more. Limit TV time or other gadgets, encourage
interactive play with other adults and children.
5. Put emphasis on controlling manipulative and off-task behaviors during and outside structured
times and be consistent.
6. Provide cognitive activities such as mastery of basic concepts (shapes, colors, common
objects, action words, body parts).
7. Provide visual and auditory perceptual activities such as puzzles, form boards, following
simple command, etc.
