Background Information

Nathan has been attending Holistic therapy sessions on weekly basis. Attendance from
November 2021 to May 2022 has been regular.

Management for the past months’ focus on the following goals:

1. Precursor to Language Form

a. Fine and Oromotor Imitation- continue imitation of oromotor movement

2. Formulation Skills

a. Combine vocalizations and gestures when commenting and requesting for


desired objects

To further improve Nathan’s present skills, the following are recommended:

1. Therapy sessions with emphasis on behavior modification, cognitive and on functional


communication play.
2. Start exploration of social skills group or small sized play group (5-8) children to initiate
social skills training.
3. Emphasize on the importance of compliance at home. Parent and caregiver education in
handling Nathan’s behavior and development of social maturity should be explained
thoroughly to the caregivers, as well as techniques in handling Nathan at home and
eventually, in school. Continue close coordination with caregivers at home, through the
use of communication notebook. Encourage his compliance through his parents and
relatives, to ensure consistency.
4. Put emphasis on controlling manipulative and off-task behaviors during and outside
structured times and be consistent.
5. Provide cognitive activities such as mastery of basic concepts (Drawing, words game,
remembering sequencing).
6. Provide visual and auditory perceptual activities such as puzzles, form boards, following
simple command, etc.
7. Provide math activities at home to provide his numerical skills such as math bingo, a
paper plate clock, guess the weight etc.
