The location of the
project is the fifth
settlement in
Cairo. An
N entrance is
positioned at the
northeast corner of
the site to provide
access from the
main street. A
parking lot for two
cars is placed
beside the
entrance with the
required surface
area. The
landscape design
was based on the
idea of a private
and a public zone.

29
Public pool

The public zone is accessed from the

reception, in which events are held, like
barbeque parties, pool parties, or even
outdoor chilling with guests. Therefore, a
leathered sofa was placed outdoors to
withstand rain and provide comfort,
accompanied by a coffee table and a pit
fire to stay warm on a water-resistant
wooden platform for a cosy natural
environment because it is not used daily.

Private pool

While the private hallway leads to the

private area. It has a private pool that is not
visible from any of the public areas, as well
as a small kitchenette for a quick
snack/drink, along with shaded sunbeds for
tanning and relaxing. To withstand pool
water, the floor is finished with marble.
Finally, the roof is intended to be flat with a
small slope for rainwater. It is constructed of
white aluminium sheets to reflect solar
energy and maintain a comfortable internal
temperature, with a skylight above the
staircase providing essential natural lighting.

kitchen, a guest toilet, and the outdoor green-roofed gallery and atelier are all
on the first floor. A part of the outdoor gallery is shaded to protect non-
waterproof paintings. The kitchen and guests toilet are semi-directly connected
to the dining area and reception, whereas the guest room and nanny's room
are separated by a partition wall for added privacy. Artefacts are scattered
across the walls and tables to create a more artistic environment, and each
space has direct access to natural elements for a healthier lifestyle.

living zone, which are linked by a single main hallway. The hobby zone includes
a gymnasium and a home theatre, as well as amenities such as showers, a
laundry room, and storage. The living zone consists of the living room, a small
kitchenette, a toilet, a girl's bedroom, a boy's bedroom, and the master
bedroom. The majority of exterior walls are designed as a curtain wall with a
direct axis to the garden to provide an environment that assists the individual in
shifting focus, relaxing the eye muscles, and reducing cognitive fatigue.

able to illuminate sensitive monumental parts in a much more aesthetically pleasing manner.
