asked every day if there was anything I could help with, and the answer was always the same
“We’ve got this, just focus on your project.”. To be honest, I was really relieved to not have to
worry about doing any other prep work for Family Camp at the moment, because I have my
hands full. Allow me to explain why: we must do project presentations, and those are due on the
23rd, which is in a week. Therefore, my presentation to all my co-workers is this Wednesday. The
presentation on Wednesday will act as both a dry run for Family Camp and an opportunity to
record video footage for my video presentation for class, as well as a chance to find out if I need
to make any serious edits to the project in time for family camp. (Side note; hopefully I won’t,
Needless to say, the Welcome Packet needs to be done by Wednesday…and it’s not. I’m
still searching SumgMug for photos to use for a couple of sections, I’ve had to completely revise
and expand other sections in light of the fact that we literally just got new hires and new
programs that we’re rolling out this summer, and I just finished the introductory portion of the
second part of the packet on Friday! And that’s just the Welcome Packet itself! I still have to
create an introduction for myself—since none of the families will know who I am or what this is
about— along with a feedback survey so I’ll know if I did a good job or not.
I’m kind of frustrated that none of that will be able to make it into the video presentation
due to a lack of time, but at the same time the most important thing to me is that I do a good job
on this project, regardless of the grade. From the beginning I’ve wanted to do a project that will
make an impact, even if that means doing more work. Besides, I still plan to include all the
relevant information, along with attached screenshots, in my electronic portfolio, and have all the
