II. Rationale
The 2021 Midyear In Service Training for Teachers which is set on March 15- 19, 2021
is conducted in consonance with DepEd Order No 012, s. 2021 (Amendment to DepEd Order
No. 30, s 2020. It is a learning and development activity designed to address the teaching and
learning gaps during the first semester of the current school year and further improve learners’
performance in the next quarters.
At the end of the five-day in-service training, it is expected that the following will be
achieved:
Objectives
1. To provide teachers with the techniques in addressing literacy and
numeracy gaps in kindergarten to grade 3
2. To provide the participants with intervention strategies for learners at risk
of failing
3. To equip participants with interactive and enjoyable strategies and
activities to help develop the full potential of their learners during the
pandemic; and
4. To develop appreciation on the importance of improving one’s
competencies in teaching and instruction
Expected Final Outcome/Success Indicator:
1. Acquired knowledge and competence in the utilization of developmentally
appropriate learning materials
2. Developed skills and attitudes towards technology-related strategies
3. Consensus in addressing district and school concerns
