SCORING PROCEDURE:

1. Compute for the READING ACCURACY RATE

No. of words read / 32 x 100 = __________
(Example: No. of words read is 29. So, 29 / 32 x 100 = 90.6 or 91%. Accuracy Rate is 91%)

2. Compute for the SPEED or READING RATE

No. of words read / No. of seconds spent in reading x 60 = _______wpm
Example: No. of words read = 29
No. of seconds spent in reading = 35.5 seconds
29/35.5= 0.82 x 60 = 49.2. Reading Rate is 49.2 word per minute (wpm)
Note: If the time reaches more than 1 minute, break the minute in seconds. Example: 1: 30; change the 1 to 60 (for 60 seconds), then add the
remaining seconds. So, 60+30 =90 seconds)
