Dear Parents,

Hello! My name is Sydney Kalbfleisch and I will be observing your child’s class under

Mrs. Gilbert this semester. I would like to take this opportunity to share a little bit about myself

with you. I was raised in Fairview, MI where I, just recently, graduated from Fairview Area

Schools. Currently, I am a student at Kirtland Community College, while also working as a

secretary at a local salon. My future goal is to achieve a bachelor’s degree in Elementary

Education and become a teacher at Fairview Area Schools.

I am expected to complete 30 observation hours in a classroom and to keep a journal of

my experiences. I will begin my observations on February 6, 2023. This semester is going to be a

great period of learning for both your child(ren) and me. I am excited to learn with the students,

as well as build a meaningful relationship with each and every one of them. I can’t wait to see

what this semester brings!
