I. Objectives:
 Students will be able to define and identify BIOS.
 Students will be able to describe the role of BIOS in computer systems.
 Students will be able to explain the basic functionality of BIOS.

II. Materials
 Whiteboard and markers
 Computers or laptops with BIOS software installed

III. Procedures
A. Preliminaries
 Greet students and review the learning objectives for the lesson.
 Ask students if they have any prior knowledge of BIOS and what they know about it.

B. Recall
 Review previous lessons related to computer hardware, such as computer components
and their functions.

C. Motivation
 Discuss the importance of understanding BIOS and its role in computer systems.
 Use real-life examples to demonstrate the impact of BIOS, such as the impact of BIOS
updates on system performance.

D. Activity
 Introduce BIOS and explain its function in the computer system.
 Provide diagrams and descriptions of BIOS components to aid students'
understanding.
 Demonstrate how to access the BIOS settings on a computer and explain the basic
functionality of BIOS.
 Guide students in navigating the BIOS settings and making basic changes.
