I. Objectives

 Students will be able to explain the concept of bootable media and its types.
 Students will be able to distinguish between a warm boot and a cold boot.
 Students will be able to create a bootable USB drive to install Windows.

II. Materials

 Computers with USB ports


 USB flash drives
 Windows ISO file
 Rufus bootable/Yumi/Ventoy media creation software
 PowerPoint presentation on Bootable Media and Boot Types

III. Procedures

A. Preliminaries

 Introduce the concept of bootable media and its types.


 Explain the difference between a warm boot and a cold boot.
 Provide an overview of the lesson's objectives.

B. Recall

 Ask the students to recall the different types of bootable media and their purpose.
 Review the definitions of warm boot and cold boot.

C. Motivation

 Present a scenario where a computer is not booting properly and ask students
how they would solve the problem.

D. Activity

 Show a PowerPoint presentation on Bootable Media and Boot Types.


 Demonstrate how to create a bootable USB drive using Rufus.
 Show how to download a Windows ISO file and use it to create a bootable USB
drive.
 Walk the students through the steps of creating a bootable USB drive on their own
computers.
E. Analysis

 Discuss the advantages and disadvantages of each type of bootable media.


 Show examples of each type of bootable media and how they are used.
 Compare and contrast warm boot and cold boot.

F. Abstract

 Recap the main points of the lesson, including the definition of bootable media,
the different types of bootable media, and the difference between warm boot and
cold boot.

 Encourage the students to practice creating bootable media on their own and to
