5. discuss how viewed materials differ from each other

program, etc)
A. Content The learner demonstrates understanding of: pre-colonial Philippine literature as a
Standards means of connecting to the past; various reading styles; ways of determining
word meaning; the sounds of English and the prosodic features of speech; and
correct subject-verb agreement.
B. Performance The learner transfers learning by: showing appreciation for the literature of the

A. Introduction Analyze the given videos taken from the internet. Answer the following
questions below:

B. Development Materials that can be viewed vary depending on their genres and
platforms. As TV is the most common platform used in viewing, online
resources have been widely used nowadays for video access. Presented
below are some of video genres which you may encounter.

A news flash is a single item of important news that is aired separately and
often interrupts other programs.
Example: 24 Oras News Alert, Flash Report

A weather report is usually a part of an entire news program that tells and
foretells weather conditions on a specific area.
Example: I AM Ready

An internet-based program is a program that is informative and can be


accessed through website.

Example: Deped Commons, Slideshare, Yahoo, YouTube


Movie trailer is a short clip from a film while movie itself is the long version.
Examples: Seven Sundays, One More Chance, Hello, Love,
Goodbye

Documentary is a research-based reporting that deals with a specific topic


and format.
Example: Frontrow, No Filter, I-Witness
