Narrative Report on Training of Psychological

First Aid (PFA)

The training on Psychological First Aid for Teaching and Non-Teaching Personnel entitled
"Equipping Educators" was held on April 15, 2023, Saturday at Balon Elementary School
Covered Court. The training started with a prayer to ask for guidance and wisdom throughout
the duration of the program. After the prayer, the roll call by grade level was conducted by
Ma’am Rowena G. Payawal, Teacher III to ensure that all participants were present.

An inspiring message from the School Principal II, Crisalda C. Palad. Ms. Palad
highlighted the importance of psychological first aid in ensuring the well-being of students and
emphasized the crucial role of educators in providing this support.

The training was facilitated by four speakers, Maribel G. Esteron, Christopher G. Zapata,
Florica M. Villanueva, and Maureen April S. Anit, who are all Teacher III in the school. The
speakers discussed the core principles of Psychological First Aid, which include ensuring safety
and security, assessing needs and concerns, offering practical assistance, listening actively, and
connecting individuals with social supports.

At the end of the training, the participants were equipped with the necessary skills and
knowledge to provide psychological first aid to their students. They expressed their gratitude to
the school administration and the speakers for organizing and facilitating the training.
Conclusion:

The training on Psychological First Aid for Teaching and Non-Teaching Personnel entitled
"Equipping Educators" was successful in equipping educators with the necessary knowledge
and skills to provide psychological first aid to students. The training was made possible through
the efforts of the school administration, the speakers, and the participants who actively
participated in the program. It is hoped that the knowledge gained from the training will be
applied in their work and benefit the students in their care.
