SPEAKING: CHILDHOOD

As you get older, life tends to get more and more stressful. There are so many
social and economic pressures that trouble us, so I think people should be
allowed to enjoy their childhoods. I mean, just look at children. They are so
innocent and carefree by their nature. Why should we spoil for them? Let
them have fun.

I think that most people look back on their own childhoods with a sense of
nostalgia. They remember that sense of innocence and freedom that they had,
and how much that has been lost in adulthood. They also tend to look at
today’s youth and feel that their own childhood was somehow better because
they are now so detached from modern young people.

Her upbringing was totally different to mine.

Kids are certainly not safer nowadays due to:

 an increase in cyberbullying
 excessive traffic leading to more kids getting knocked over

 high pressure which leads to mental health problems.

Children are not so enthusiastic about having dinner with their families There is

less communication within families because everyone is tethered to their
mobile phone, leading to fewer family meals.
More women are in the workforce, so it is not uncommon for both parents of
a nuclear family to be working, leaving many children alone and feeling more
lonely than before.
Kids spend so much time on their computers and may not be aware of how little
time they are spending with their friends.
