Proposal for

Jinxx Marketing Campaign

Short Summary:

I will create a multimedia marketing campaign to promote upcoming band Jinxx, as well as their new
album ‘222.’ I will set up social media profiles and post promotional content to hopefully boost their
listeners and create engagement with their music. I am going to make a 30 second TV ad and digipak
for their upcoming album.

Purpose:

The purpose of my media campaign is to advertise the band's music to try and build their audience
and increase downloads of their upcoming album. I want the social media pages to attract attention
and awareness to Jinxx’s music, particularly their new album. The overall aim is to popularise their
music and get their name out there.

Target Audience:

The target audience for the band's music is 16-25 as it is the same age range as the band members,
and it’s the age range that connects the most with their genre of music, which is indie. Therefore,
this is the target audience for the campaign as I am trying to pull in the target audience for the
music.

Cast, locations and equipment:

The cast for the TV ad is the three members of the band; Ellie, Ella and Grace. Ellie will be the focus
of the video because I know from previous projects that she has strong acting skills. The locations for
the music video are my house and the beach. I chose my house because I needed a bedroom for the
beginning of the music video, and I selected the beach to fit the whimsical vibe of the band's music. I
will use a Sony X 70 camera to film the TV advert, as it’s been reliable in the past and creates good
quality footage. I will use premier pro to edit it.

Platforms:

I will use Instagram, TikTok and YouTube as platforms to promote Jinxx’s music. I chose TikTok
because the app is music based and is widely used by our target market. Instagram is good for
attracting listeners and creating a loyal fan base. YouTube is the biggest social media platform to
post music content so it’s important that I post actively on there.

Who is working on the film:

Ruby will be the producer, director, and camera opertor for the TV advert, and for all the social
media content.
