ROLES AND DUTIES OF THE SCHOOL PLANNING TEAM

I. School Head as the Team Leader
 Convenes the School Planning Team (SPT).
 Provides leadership and guidance in the development of the plan clearly explains the
SIP planning process to the planning team and helps them understand their role in the
process.
 Facilitates actual planning workshop

II. School Governing Council (SGC) Representative

 Actively participates in the development of the SIP by establishing priorities and
setting goals and strategies for the school improvement.
 Initiates the formation of the School Planning Team.

III. Barangay/LGU Representative

 Share valuable information on the interest of the community in the school
improvement and participate in setting goals, strategies and priorities of the school.
 Commit available resources in the implementation of the plan

IV. Teacher Representative

 Provide needed information relative to teaching and learning process.
 Actively participate during the development of the SIP establishing priorities, setting
goals and formulating implementation strategies for the plan

V. Parent Representative
 Share insights about what their children need to learn and the difficulties they face in
the school, their aspirations for the school and their children, present other areas of
concerns.
 Participate in setting goals, strategies, and priorities of the school. Commit available
resources in the implementation of the plan.

VI. Student Representative

 Share insights about their difficulties in the school.
 Participate in setting goals, strategies, and priorities of the school.
