Cooperation Agreement
Between Vietnam Maritime University (VMU) and Cofano Asia Co., Ltd

- Pursuant to Decision No. 768/QD-BGTVT dated March 14, 2014 of the Ministry of
Transport approving the project to build Vietnam Maritime University into a national
key university;
- Pursuant to the "Charter of the university" promulgated under the Prime Minister's
Decision No. 70/2014/QD-TTg dated December 10, 2014;
- Pursuant to the Enterprise Law dated November 26, 2014;
- Pursuant to the Business Registration Certificate of Cofano Software Solutions Asia
Co., Ltd;
- Based on the needs and capacity of both parties.

On the basis of common capabilities, needs, and aspirations, the two sides agreed to
cooperate in the fields of training, scientific research, application of technology
transfer, creating job opportunities, etc., specifically as follows:
- The two sides agree to cooperate to train human resources for the river and sea
transportation industries, improve the quality of training for students and apply
software solutions to meet the needs of the industry. meet the needs of modernizing
the operation of ships and barges for current and future units/enterprises.
- Creating conditions for capable students to study and practice in Cofano Asia
company based in Vietnam.
- Create conditions for qualified students to participate and compete fairly in the
award-winning “Hackathon” organized by both parties.
- Create conditions for students to have access to foreign experts in the maritime and
information technology industry through exchange sessions in the form of guest
speakers or guest lecturers.
1. Responsibilities and interests of the parties
1.1. General responsibilities and interests:
- The two sides regularly share information on maritime technology, equipment, and
software solutions at a level that is mutually agreed upon by both parties.
- The two sides work together to research, test, and transfer to businesses new
technologies in marine equipment and solutions for river and sea transportation.
- The two sides jointly organize the event "Hackathon" to present real problems for
students, students have the opportunity to interact and come up with solutions to
solve problems.
1.2. Responsibilities of Party A
- In each training year of the Logistics and Information Technology industries of Party
B, Party A will award 6 scholarships worth x to excellent individuals with high final
scores and suitable extracurricular activities. The granting of this scholarship will start
from the xx term of 2023 and for the following courses.
- Party A agrees that every year, it will create favorable conditions to receive students
from Party B to visit, practice professionally and carry out their graduation thesis at
Party A according to the needs and capabilities of the two parties.
- After graduating, if students achieve excellent academic performance and have good
English communication skills, they will be supported by Party A and accepted to work
if it is suitable for Party A's needs and recruitment standards. A.
- Party A provides expertise and professional skills so that Party B can train the
following students according to the latest and most modern curriculum.
- Party A will send someone to organize the "Hackathon" event and will provide prizes
to the 3 teams with the best solutions. The prize value will be determined at a total of
x for the 3 winning teams.
1.3. Responsibility of Party B
- Responsible for training human resources to meet the requirements in the Logistics
and Information Technology industries of the country.
- Every year, Party B will invite leaders, managers, and technical officers of Party A to
Vietnam Maritime University to hold seminars, participate in exchanges, or teach and
train students. Courses related to practice in the Information Technology industry and
the Logistics industry in order to familiarize students and create a premise for the
internships and working sessions at Party A in the future with high efficiency.
- Every year, Party B creates conditions for Party A's software to be familiarized and
used by students, creating orientations for students to use and create applications
suitable for the 4.0 technology era.
- Every year, Party B creates favorable conditions for Party A to introduce, contact and
interview graduates to work for Party A.
- Party B announces and invites Party A to attend conferences, seminars, thematic
reports, talks, etc. with topics related to transportation or information technology
organized or co-organized by Party B.
- Party B will post on the school's website detailed information about students
receiving scholarships (full name, photo, major, scholarship recipient), information
about the "Hackathon" program, and the winning teams.
1.4. Students who are eligible for scholarship support
- Are students who have the ability, high results & are well trained, have a good foreign
language (English), and have the desire to work long-term in the Logistics and
Information Technology industry.
- The scholarship will be considered from the top down and divided equally among the
Faculty of Logistics and Information Technology. Students who have difficulty paying
for school will fill out a form and the information will be checked with the school. The
final GPA will be considered annually to select good students. After that, Party A will
proceed to give a topic for a 2-page essay to select the most deserving student for
the scholarships.
1.5. About the “Hackathon” event
- The event will be held every year, with matching prizes for the 3 teams with the
highest score.
- The event will be held for 3 weeks, with a real-life problem
- Students will be free to think about the topic, program the solution on a computer,
and present the solution to a panel of judges and other students.
- Other details will be discussed by Party A and Party B and given in Appendix 1.
2. General Terms
The two sides agreed to implement in the spirit of voluntary, active, cooperation and
mutual support, contributing to the common development of each side and the cause
of education and training of the country, of the logistics industry and Information
technology. Depending on the content, the two parties will have a specific contract to
implement.
This Agreement is effective from the date of signing and is valid for five (5) years.
After the above period, it will be automatically renewed every five (5) years if there
are no changes or adjustments from either party.
This Agreement is divided into 4 copies, each party keeps 2 copies of equal value.
