VOLUNTARY CARERS’ ASSOCIATIONS – NOTOWN BRANCH

MINUTES of a committee meeting of the Voluntary Carers’ Association, Notown Branch, held
in the Community Hall, Notown, at 19:30 pm on Tuesday.

1. APOLOGIES FOR ABSENCE Mrs Liz Rushbridge, Mr Guy and Mrs Val Paige

2. MINUTES OF LAST MEETING The minutes had already been circulated and were
taken as read.

3. MATTERS ARISING There were no matters arising.

4. CORRESPONDENCE INCLUDING BRANCH CIRCULARS

A letter had been received from the local home for the elderly asking for a volunteer to take one
of the residents to visit her daughter on a regular basis. Esme Jenner and John Hugh both agreed
to help out between them and they would contact the home and the resident concerned.

5. NEWSLETTER Dr Nash said that the newsletter has been delayed

Because of unforeseen circumstances.

6. FUTURE PROGRAMME (a) It was agreed that the talk by Dr Dilys Falkland
Be given in the Community Hall at 19:30 pm on
18th October 2021. Edna Harrop agreed to circulate
members asap.
(b) A discussion was held about a visit to Millfield
Home for the Elderly. All present said they wished
To participate.
7. ANY OTHER BUSINESS There was no further business.
8. DATE OF NEXT MEETING The next meeting was arranged for 31 November

2021.
