Our Idea + Genre
• Our idea is a Revenge Story about 2 assassins
getting knocked out into a coma, one gets pulled
out and the other is mysteriously gone, Then a
mysterious person comes in to kill the protagonist
and then she must become a self-
made superhero to stop this son of a bitch
• Our movie will be an Action-Comedy based off
things like Kick-Ass, Hot Fuzz and Deadpool
• There could be hints of horror
The Binary
Opposites
• The binary opposites in our film are light vs
dark, and good vs evil. Maybe male vs
female if we manage to get a female actor in
our film.
• Most films in the action genre have a hero
against a villain and that includes ours.

• Hannah Dillon - Production assistant

• Brodie Thompson - Director
• Ewan Prouse - Camera operator
Synopsis
• It will start with the hero listing to audio logs from a lab as they listen to the last log a news report
comes up talking about an incident, the hero then goes to find the cause.
• The camara cut to phantom hiding in an old building. The hero finds something at the scene,
this leads them to find phantom and a chase ensues.
• Phantom manages to get away again but the hero is hot on his tail we then see phantom cornered
and with no way out he finally decides to face the hero one on one during this phantom gets his
mask knocked off revealing his true identity, this shocks the hero at it's revealed phantom is their
old friend that was "killed", the hero pauses letting phantom turn the fight in his favour for a short
time.
• It ends with phantom being defeated and pinned under the hero's foot to stop him escaping
 Intentions
• A lot of Action Comedies never took a story of 2 friends
splitting apart, but one becomes opposite of the other. No
Action-Comedy Flicks looked on to this plot yet. We also
have a bit of horror
• Our USP is to show that an action comedy can have emotion
and horror aspects to it. We will show the emotion and
horror in a good way whilst keeping the comedy to things like
the action and things that shouldn't be taken seriously.
Resources needed
• We would need an old/abandoned building or our film as a location, we could also use a church for
the final fight, a first aid kit just in case of an injury. The recording equipment e.g. cameras and
sound recorder.
Our target audience
• Our short film is mostly going to be targeted towards the teenage demographic, as they tend to be
more drawn towards action and comedy with things such as Marvel being a huge industry.
Inspiration and
similar short films
• We have looked at different action comedy films
such as hot fuzz which includes a good mix of
comedy and action as well and we will take different
elements from action comedy such as quick witty
lines which is expected in an action comedy film
• In the short film pizza time a pizza delivery driver
deliver a pizza to house but finds a hitman hiding in
the house and in the short film both the
pizza delivery driver r and the hitman fight in the
house and the fight is very violent which helps with
the action of the short film
