Analysis

Now. How did you find the correct number?

Very good! By counting from 1, 2, 3, 4 and so

on.

Do you know what are those? The 1, 2, 3, 4

and so on?

Yes! They are numbers but they are called

whole numbers.

So, today, we are going to talk about Whole

Numbers.

Whole Numbers are all the basic counting

numbers BUT including ZERO.
W = { 0, 1, 2, 3, 4…..}
Always remember that the numbers that we
use for counting purposes including zero are
WHOLE NUMBERS.

Examples of whole numbers are the ones that

we counted earlier.
Another example are

There are FIVE dogs.

There are SEVEN cars.

There are NINE apples.

Very Good! But remember that not all numbers

are considered as a WHOLE NUMBER. For
example Decimals, Fractions and Negative
Numbers.
Now, do you have any questions?

None? Very good.

Abstraction

Now students, what have you learned today?

Very good! What are whole numbers again?

Very good. Why do you think whole numbers

are important?

Very good kids! Always remember that whole

numbers are used for counting purposes
including zero. And counting numbers is the
big step that we’re going to take in learning the
world of Mathematics.

Application

Now, we are going to play the game “Bring

Me.” Are you familiar with the game “Bring
Me?”

Very good. “Bring Me” game is basically a

game where someone will ask you to bring a
thing and the first one who will bring the
specific thing will be the winner. Did you get
