(Building and Enhancing New Literacies Across Curriculum)

Directions: Express your thoughts / views about the following, based and taken from all the
modules / lectures, in NOT LESS THAN 100 words each number.

1. In our present situation, don’t you think there’s a need to introduce new literacy? Why?
Why not? What do you think is that literacy that should be added to all the literacies we
have discussed?

 As a 21st century student, I think that there is need to introduce the new literacies,
why? We are in today’s society where in technology existed. The world is
becoming more innovated so the skills of the students must be innovated also. We
are all able to read, write and comprehend but not are all able to adapt new things.
New Literacies are not just about the things that we are able to do but what we are
capable to do. It talks about skills, since we are existed in the modern society and
lots of digital nature are being use we are in need to learn how to use it. We need to
be skilled to be able to learn more.

2. If given the chance to introduce and design instructional plan showing creative
classroom activities to seriously engage learners during this New Normal, What would it
be?

 I am going first on how am I able to teach my lessons on my students effectively.

Should I do an activity where they can all relate? Or do things traditionally? How
am I going to share the lesson? Through teaching them one by one? Or by putting
the lesson in a real life situation? The second one is how am I going to implement
my lesson in a class. Should I required them to open their cam for me to see if they
are really listening? Or give them an activity after the class? How am I going to be
sure that they understand my lesson? By giving them a quiz after discussion? Or by
giving them a score chips every after recitation during class? I also want my
students to participate in my every lesson like reciting in class for me to know if
they are following my lesson. I am going to ask each one of my students and force
those who still haven’t recite to speak for them to get a score chips. In that way, I
 can tell which students are listening and students who can’t follow my lesson so for
my next lesson I am going to adjust my teaching for those students who are slow
learner to follow my lesson.
