PREPARATION:

 Prayer

MOTIVATION

Begin by asking the students what they know about informative essays. Write their responses on the
whiteboard.

LESSON PROPER:

Explain that an informative essay is a type of essay that provides information about a specific topic or
subject. Its purpose is to educate the reader and provide a clear understanding of the topic being
discussed.

Discuss the different elements of an informative essay:

Introduction: Introduce the topic and provide background information about it.

Body: Present the facts and information about the topic. Use examples, evidence, and statistics to
support the arguments.

Conclusion: Summarize the key points and provide a final thought on the topic.

Provide samples of informative essays and ask the students to identify the different elements of each
essay.
Distribute worksheets with informative essay prompts. Ask the students to choose one topic and start
writing their own informative essay. Remind them to use the elements of an informative essay when
writing.

As the students write their essays, walk around the classroom and provide feedback and assistance as
needed.

Application:
