Since  this  is  the  first  unit,  it  is  important  that  you  reflect  upon  your  own  experiences  of 
ICT  to  critically  analyze  its  effects,  both  positive  and  negative,  on  your  life  as  well  as  the 
lives  of  those  around  you,  make  recommendations  on  how  ICTs  can  be  used  to  one’s

Create  a  short  narrative  or  essay  exhibiting  your  understanding  of  the  effects  of  ICT 
technologies,  online  systems,  functions,  and  platforms  on  you  as a student, as a consumer 
and  on  the  people  around you.  As a user of ICT, think of a situation or an event, where you 
observed  both  the  advantages  and  disadvantages  of  using  any  or all of the components of 
ICT.  You  may  be  guided  by  The  What,  So  What?,  Now,  What  Framework (Rolfe, et al, 2001)
