1. Look at your daily routine. What was not good? Where you have been passive and
reactive? Where have you not acted in a self-starting way?
In my daily routine, I spent a long hour of using my phone and doing stuff that is not
related to my studies such as reading, reviewing and the like. I become passive after I
finished my schoolwork’s that’s the time that I will browse my social media accounts. I
am also reactive in such a way that I still do my homework and rewrite my notes.
2. Write down alternative good and self-starting behavior you could have shown.

Exercise: Case studies self-starting vs. reactive behavior
This exercise consists of two case studies of Ethiopian businesswomen. The businesswoman in
case 1 acts self-starting whereas the businesswoman in case 2 shows reactive behavior.
