Instructions:
Your science teacher in high school asks the class to write an article about Environmental
Education on what the consequences will be in the future if human beings don’t reduce carbon
dioxide emissions. Make predictions on what you think will happen. (Read John’s article again:
U2L2.2_T3 Let's save the planet PRACTICE IN CONTEXT).

Example:
I think the future will be very different. Human beings will reduce
their carbon footprint. Cars, buses, and trucks won’t use gasoline…

In my perspective I think that the human beings will not even exist or not in the same way they do
now. For example I guess that there will not be enough oxygen in the air for us to breathe without
getting damage on our lungs or other organs that we have.

There will not be enough food and we’ll have a crisis all over the world because the system and the
economy will deflate in every way ever expected before. I’m a little bit scared of what will happen in
the next years but I also think that the suffocation about the information that is hitting us in this
moment could be useful by creating more self awareness in people.

Also I think that every single thing like clothes or hygiene there won’t be enough water to produce all
the products we currently use. In fact I think that the future is scary but I’m trusting in the fact that
we’ll be better humans.
