Bill of Quantities for Construction of House Type 250m2

1. All the works should be done according to Iraqi General Technical Specification (I.G.S.T) that
complies
with SORB Applied according to the instructions of the supervisor engineer.
2. All materials must be NEW of best types. Approved by supervisor Engineer.
3. All construction materials should be tested according to Construction Works Specification by
NCCL (National Center for Construction Laboratories 1981 edition), and (ASTM) American
Society for Testing and Materials specifications.
4. The contractor shall provide samples for all materials to be used in the project prior to using
them in order to get approval from supervisor Engineer.
5. It is the duty of the contractor to check the designs for accuracy and adequacy, otherwise the
Employer takes no risk of the contractor's failure to accomplish the work.
6. The contractor shall provide all required manpower, transportation, equipment, tools,
machinery ... etc unless otherwise stated below.
7. In case of any difference between BoQ, designs and/or drawings; the instructions of supervisor
Engineer will govern.
8. After all works are finished, the site must be cleaned from all debris, and neglected materials
must be removed to a location defined by municipality.
9. The contractor shall provide all safety equipment and requirements in the site (warning tape,
cap, vest, etc,,,).
N.B
10. The contractor shall supply and prepare site engineer office with furniture, survey
instruments, and stationary, computer with printer as well as suitable kitchen and W.C.
11. The contractor shall employ permanent site engineer who has min. 3 years of experience,
12. The final Design and BoQ might be changed according to the site topography, requirements
and conditions.
13. For the excavation activities, the contractor shall erect safe crossing bridges with protecting
hand rails in numbers and locations based on the site engineer instructions.
14. In case of crossing water alignment with public streets and roads, the contractor shall
construct on his own expenses alternative temporary roads with good maintenance till the
finishing date of the work and he shall repair all the streets to match the original case.
15. The contractor shall erect 3 signboards for the project in dimensions (2*1.5m) to be fixed till
the finishing date.
16. The contractor shall fix warning signals across the trench according to the instructions of
supervisor engineer.
17. The contractor shall restrict the locations of the manholes as indicated by supervisor
engineer.
18. For the excavation works, the contractor shall excavate the needed span for both sides of the
trench edges to have the adequate space for the work activities.
19. The contractor shall use only best quality/brands of paints.
