Appendix A: Research Instrument

The research is a Correlational Research, in which uses computational, statistical and

mathematical process to derive results from participants. This is a type of non-experimental
research in which the researcher measures two variables and assesses the statistical relationship
(i.e., the correlation) between them with little or no effort to control extraneous variables. The
study made use of survey questionnaires to get primary information or data from both Grade 11
& 12 Senior High School students in all strands within Cavite as indicated in the stratified for
sampling.
The following research instruments in data collection that will used are constructed by the
researchers that could fit the variables that will validated by expert in research through content
validity it refers to how accurately an assessment or measurement tool taps into the various
aspects of the specific construct in questions (Ballesteros, 2019) . In other words, do the
questions really assess the construct in question, or are the responses of the person answering the
questions influenced by other factors (Clause, 2003).

Competencies- is a constructed questionnaire used by the researchers to explain how an

individual’s behaviours bring about the desired results in their role.
This test has variables:
 Adaptability
 Leadership
 Self-Awareness
Communication Skills- is a constructed questionnaire used by the researchers to
measure how student are capable of analyzing with verbal and non-verbal
communication.
This test has variables:
 Verbal
 Non-verbal
The scale measures between competencies and communication skills, respondents can range
from 1–Strongly Disagree to 4–Agree. The Instructions are the participants will response to the
following questions by checking how Strongly Disagree, Disagree, Agree, Strongly Agree that
will engage in each of the following situations or characteristics, the respondents will only
choose one of each item. Respondents rate statements on a scale of 1 to 4, with 1 indicating
strong disagreement and 4 indicating strong agreement (Ballesteros, 2019).
1-Strongly Disagree
2- Disagree
3-Agree
4-Strongly Agree
