Grade 9 Script

Good morning Everybody! Today, we will present to you the Science Summer Fair project of
Grade 9 students.
DIY LABORATORY MADE MINERAL CRYSTAL
Speaker 1: Grade 9 students used, 500g of Alum powder chemically known as Aluminum sulfate
( Al2(SO4)3 ), Violet food color, 10g salt and 300 ml of water, copper wire no. 28 and Bunsen
burner.
Speaker 2: This Science invention project that we do is a DIY Mineral crystal grown in
laboratory made from alum powder.
Speaker 3: Step 1, We grade 9 students, get a 500 ml beaker, we put the 300 ml water and add
the violet food coloring in the water.
Speaker 4: Step 2, after mixing the water and food color, we add the 500g alum powder in the
water mixture and stir it.
Speaker 5: Step 3, we add the 10g of salt to the mixture and open the Bunsen burner with the
help of our teacher. We put the heat in no.2 and start cooking the mixture while we continuously
stirring the mixture.
Speaker 6: lastly, once the alum powder is dissolved, we turned off the Bunsen burner and create
a one file of copper wire, tie into the spoon while the other copper wire is inside the mixture. We
waited 12 hrs for the crystal to accumulate.

Speaker 7: Just like the famous quote from the finest crystal are made under pressure. If you see
yourself under pressure, be thankful for you are being hone by the nature.
