A verb agrees with its subject in number and in person. Here are the rules of agreement o subject and
verb.
1. A singular subject takes a singular verb; a plural subject takes a plural verb.
Ex. A myth is a form of a narrative.
Myths explain cultural practices.
2. A verb in the present tense ends in (-s ) when the subject is third person singular.
Ex. A fable teaches a moral lesson.
