Rationale of the course:


The course is offered to the undergraduate students (pre-service teachers/ student teachers)
who are preparing to become competent English language teachers. The students will receive
training on how they can help the students they will be teaching in future acquire linguistic
competence that involves knowledge of grammar, such as knowledge of words, sentences,
and discourses.

Course Objectives:

The course aims:


 To acquire pedagogical competence to teach the future students English grammar.
 To become familiar with approaches to teaching grammar
 To obtain literacy of appropriate materials for teaching grammar
 To be able to design effective tasks and activities for the students
 To attain knowledge of assessment methods that might help the students gain
mastery in grammar.
