I. Executive Summary

The physical representation of the "Spin Wheel" is a circular board with various sections and
a centre pivot. The components are marked with challenges that must be completed in order to
receive rewards or prizes, and a prize can be selected at random by spinning the wheel. The
goal of our project is to build a programmable spin wheel that can be used to showcase our
courses while displaying various computer technology-related facts. The physical spin wheel
will have a simple-to-use mechanism and be made to be portable and lightweight.

Users can personalize the spin wheel by selecting the number of sections, the size and color of
the wheel, and some questions for the player to answer. It can be used to play amusing games
or engage in enjoyable activities with the players; thus, it will also serve as a kind of
entertainment. This tool can also be used to impartially make decisions for the players. For
individuals who plan to participate, it can also be quite beneficial to set goals for how much
they will learn from their course, enabling players to develop their own ideas for enjoyable
activities, and upping the ante on themselves will also help to strengthen their creative thinking.

II. Background

The spin wheel was initially used as a gambling device around 1720 in Italy when it was known
as the "Hoca" wheel. The spin wheel has a long history, dating back to the 1700s when it was
first employed as a gambling instrument in Europe. The spin wheel has been utilized for a
variety of reasons other than gambling over the years. Spin wheels were utilized to provide
prizes to participants at carnivals and fairs in the early 1900s. In the mid-1900s. The spin wheel
is still utilized in a variety of situations today, including events, trade exhibitions, and
promotional efforts. It offers businesses and organizations a fun and interactive method to
engage with their audience and raise brand exposure. To improve its functioning and appeal,
the spin wheel has been upgraded with digital features such as LED lighting and electronic
displays.
III. Solution and Approach

To create the spin wheel game, we plan to follow a step-by step-step approach that includes
the following:

1. Determine the topics to include on the wheel: We will review different topics within
computer engineering, such as hardware, software, networking and cybersecurity, and select
the most relevant ones to include on our spin wheel.

2. Write question related to each topic: We will create a series of question related to each topic
that visitors can answer to win prize. The question will vary in difficult, so visitors of all ages
and backgrounds can participate.

3. Design the wheel and game board: We will design a physical spin wheel and game board
that showcase the different topics and question. The design will be eye- catching and visually
appealing to attract visitors to our booth.

4. Develop the software to randomize the spin and question: We will create a software program
that randomize the spin and selects a question for each visitor to answer. The program will also
track the number of correct answer and award prizes accordingly.

5. Test the game for functionality and usability: We will test the game to ensure it is functioning
correctly and is user-friendly. We will make any necessary adjustments to improve the game’s
performance and usability.

Deliverables:

Our final product will include a physical spin wheel and game board, along with the software
program to run the game. We will also provide a list of questions and answer for each topic on
the wheel.
Timeframe:

We estimate that the project will take approximately one month to complete. The first two
weeks will involve planning and development, while the third week will involve testing and
finalizing product.

IV. Financial

We estimate that the total budget for the project will be one thousand pesos, this will cover that
cost of materials to create the physical game, such as the wheel and board, as well as the cost
of developing the software program. We expect the benefits of the project to include attracting
visitors to our booth, Showcasing the knowledge and skills of computer engineering, and
potentially generating interest in the field.
