The introduction;

The Body (with its heading);

The conclusion;

USING BULLET POINTS ARE ALSO HIGHLY RECOMMENDED IN REPORTS.

Headings must be short. No full stops or colons (:) may be written after headings, but they can be
underlined. Short headings may be written in a similar manner: Film Types (as you can see, both
words start with capital letters in it).

ALSO:

You MUST START each sentence after a full stop with a capital letter, and you may not write “i”
instead of “I”. Similarly, you may not write “january” instead of “January” (with a lower-case letter).

And never forget a full stop after sentences.

TASK

The Cape Town swimming club called Tidal Sharks intends to stay in your town. The Head of the Club,
Mike Davies, who is the leader of the club’s swimming squad of teenagers, is arriving in your town.

Mr. Davies would like you to write a report for Tidal Sharks club about the swimming facilities in your
area, both outdoor and indoor with your recommendations.

Write your report between 140 and 190 words.

Answer:

Introduction

This report was requested by Mr. Mike Davies, the leader of the swimming squad of adolescents at the
Cape Town swimming club called Tidal Sharks. The aim of this report is to provide information on the
swimming facilities in the town of Bamford. The report was to be submitted by February 22.

General Information

There are three swimming pools in Bamford, which are as follows:

 The Temple Meads Pool.

 The St Helens Pool.
 The Scartho Pool (outdoor).

Temple Meads Pool

The Temple Meads Pool is located in the city centre. It has eight lanes and a pool for children. Temple
Meads is equipped with modern, state-of-the-art facilities. The admission costs are the highest here in
the town_ £3.00 per session and £1.50 for under 12s. However, considering that Temple Meads has the
network of gyms, pools of all sizes, fitness amenities and modern equipment, the price is worth it. As an
added bonus, sports or bouncy castle parties are also regularly held here, and most importantly, the pool’s
unique "T" shaped water surface is exceptionally comfortable for swimmers.
St Helens Pool

This pool was built over 100 years ago, and the architecture is breathtakingly beautiful. Temperatures at
this pool are lower than at the Temple Meads pool. St Helens Pool offers swim lessons, water aerobics,
family swims, and other services. The admission cost is only £2.00 and £1.00 for under 10s.

Scartho Pool

Scartho Pool, which is an outdoor pool, is open from the 1 June to 15 September. It is a tremendous pool,
and it is extremely popular in hot summer days. At this time of the year, it is often overcrowded. The pool
opens at 9.00 am in summer evenings, and its fee is similar to that of Temple Meads.

The pool is generally enjoyed by both recreational swimmers and swimming clubs.

Conclusion

All the three swimming pools listed above, which are Temple Meads, St Helens, and Scartho pool, enjoy
great popularity in the town of Bamford. All of them attract potential users with their unique features and
services that are usually available at one of them and not offered by another. Consequently, it is up to the
user to decide which one caters their requirements and is tailored to them.

Recommendations

Considering that the Cape Town’s swimming squad is composed of adolescents, and their trainer Mr.
Davies, in all likelihood, intends to find a club which will offer both good training opportunities and
recreational activities, it is recommended that the club opt for the Temple Meads Pool, as:

 its unique "T" shaped water surface is exceptionally convenient, and this ensures that the squad
will enjoy their training sessions;
 it has all types of pools _ small, medium, and large.
 It has latest fitness amenities.
 It offers its users sports or bouncy castle parties.
