CHAPTER III

METHODOLOGY

This chapter describes the essential elements of the research process.

Research Design

This study will be using a qualitative research design in a descriptive

approach to examine Junior High School students' perceptions towards over

usage of gadgets. The participants will be chosen through purposive

sampling. The researcher will collect data using open-ended questionnaires

that the researcher personally administers.

Locale of the Research

This study will be conducted at Kidapawan City, specifically in

Kidapawan City National High School.

Respondents of the Study

The researcher will be selecting seven (7) participants in Kidapawan

City National High School (KCNKS) to participate on the study.

Sampling Procedure

Purposive non-probability sampling will be used to hand-pick the

selected seven (7) participants.


Research Instrument

This study will use 5 item questionnaire which include perception of

the junior high school students, influenced of application and how to lessen

their exposure in gadgets.

Data Gathering Procedure

The data were gathered by conducting a face-to-face interview to the

selected junior high school student about their perception towards over

usage of gadgets. The researcher will ask permission to conduct study from

the principal and ask the permission of the participant to be interviewed

about the study.
