21st Century Literature


Five (5) Literary Elements

1. Plot - this refers to the main events of a story that the writer sequentially interrelates.
This composes of a beginning, middle, and end.

2. Character - People or individuals mentioned in a story. These individuals have


certain roles and characteristics such as physical attributes that let the readers picture
them out.

3. Setting - this describes the place of where an event in the story has happened. It is
the location of specific happenings in which the author should describe in order for the
readers to visualize.

4. Conflict - This is presented before the climax. The problem in which the the
characters aim to solve or terrible happenings in the story.

5. Resolution - The solution to the problem in the story. This when the characters have
provided ways to solve the conflict and how they execute it in the story.
