COMPANY PROFILE

Bureau of Internal Revenue – Calasiao

BIR Official Seal

The pillar, solid, and strong, representing the

vessel and communication tower on the left center

of the seal; the row of factories on the right

center; the bundles of harvested palay on each side

of the pillar-all these point out the inter-link

between the BIR, commerce and industry, trade and agriculture, transportation

and communication and national prosperity and progress.

BIR Mandate

The Bureau of Internal Revenue is mandated by law to assess and

collect all national internal revenue taxes, fees and charges, and to

enforce all forfeitures, penalties and fines connected therewith,

including the execution of judgements in all cases decided in its

favor by the Court of Tax Appeals and the ordinary courts.

BIR Vision

The Bureau of Internal Revenue is an institution of service

excellence and integrity.

picture frames in Dagupan, answered phone calls, photocopying

7
Essay Questions

1. Describe your learning experiences and how did your training

benefit you for your future employment and for personal

development? What were the knowledge, skills, and values learned?

I learned so much in this on-the-job training particularly

in life. My misconception of stepping in the world of a working

adult isn’t as strict as I expected and in fact, they were very

accommodating of me. They thought me to operate machines,

techniques in excel, filing strategies, and work etiquette. This

program has helped me be relaxed knowing that working isn’t as

scary as I thought.

2. Did you learn any particular aspect of the operation of the

company which you did not learn at PHINMA Education?

I observed the actual carefulness and confidentiality of

information and strictness of time in working. Also, I learned the

importance of getting your work done properly even if it takes time.

I did not need to rush as long as it progresses smoothly. I also

learned the etiquette of being with people of different ages.

8
3. How the OJT Program prepared you for the OJT?

The orientation made us aware of the rules and requirements

that we have to do before starting the OJT. I still needed to

complete my full 400 hours because the alternatives weren’t

applicable in my situation. With the approval of Sir. Gerard on our

workplace which didn’t accept MOAs, we were able to experience such

a great time in our OJT. We also got constant reminder from our

adviser about the requirements and visitations which was very

helpful for not getting us extended in our duty.

4. Recommend for improvement of the OJT Program.

I hope that the OJT Program will open to more agencies

because in our case, even if our company did not accept MOAs, we

were still able to work there because of its reputable name. I

would also like to add that, if possible, the final list of

requirements is posted as soon as possible to avoid unnecessary

trips going back to the office even though our duty hours are

already finished. I also recommend to continue the periodic

update of requirements which I actually liked from our advisor.

With all that said, I really enjoyed the OJT Program as it was

not that hard to follow and complete.
