ANALYZE
Analyze the routines set by the Resource Teacher by answering the following questions.
1. Were the routines effective in ensuring discipline and order in the class? Why?
Why not?

The routines that are implemented in the class are effective in ensuring well
discipline and order. The time allotted for the discussion and assessments was
consumed. The learners are focused, and the class follows the flow of
attentively. Thus, the learning objectives specific to each session were
achieved.
2. Which of those routines were systematic and consistently implemented? Explain
your answer.

The routines that are implemented by the teacher are systematic and consistent.
These routines are the following: housekeeping or chores, warmup activities,
attendance monitoring, assignment monitoring, class discussion, independent
work, homework, behavior management, and the end of the class. These
routines were implemented regularly and in an orderly way by the teacher and
the learners. These routines contribute to harmony in class.

REFLECT

Reflect on the various routines observed.

1. Which of the routines will most likely apply in your class? Why? Why not?
The routines I have observed in the class that I will most primarily apply are
the following:
a. Housekeeping/chores- it is very important to teach learners on how to
clean and maintain their room.
b. Morning prayer- I believe that it is an important way to start the class. I
also want to make my learners value prayers as for them to be guided
by the almighty God in their studies.
c. Warm-up activities- as I have observed in morning classes, most of the
learners are sleepy and inactive. It is important to have an icebreaker to
wake their mind and body.
d. Recording of attendance- as I need to monitor my learners’ presence
and identify those who have been tardy in the class. It is also a way to
recognize my learners’ faces and remember their names.
e. Homework- for them to review their lesson and build their
independence.

OBSERVE
Observe a class and list down the classroom rules formulated by the Resource
Teacher. Cite the importance of these rules.
Classroom rules are imperative and must be reinforced for learners’ safety and
security. Rules also teach discipline and self- control. Rules eliminate stress and will provide
a more pleasant, secured, and non- threatening environment. Rules ensure the students’
engagement and focus on their classroom activities.
Classroom rules Importance
1. E.g., Read direction well -Ensures less error in answering the activity.
2. Be on time -To reduce interruptions and distractions in
the class.
3. Be respectful -To establish harmonious relationship with
each other.
4. Fall in line -To avoid jumble in entering the classroom.
5. Listen when somebody is taking -To give chance every learner to participate
and to recite.
6. Ask questions -To clarify confusions and check their
development.

ANALYZE
1. Analyze each given rule. What circumstances led to the formulation of the rule?

1) Learners may have been making a lot of mistakes in their outputs causing
them to get lower grades.
2) Learners may have been late in class, which reduces their time for learning.
3) Learners may have developed misunderstanding between their peers or
teachers that caused conflict or serious issue.
4) Learners may have been run around the gym before entering the classroom.
5) Learners may have been interrupting their classmates while reciting.
6) Learners may have been confused which made their outputs wrong or has a
lot of mistakes.

2. Are classroom rules really important?

Yes, classroom rules are important because it educate learners to become obedient.
Learners must abide to the rules as early as they can so that they will have an idea
of what consequences they get if they disobey it. It also helps them to become
responsible and aware of what the do’s and don’ts in the class. Furthermore,
classroom rules serve as guidelines and boundaries that help create a positive and
productive learning environment for both learners and teachers.

REFLECT
Reflect on the various classroom rules set by the Resource Teacher. Will you
have the same rules? If not, what rules are you going to adopt? Explain your answer.
I will adopt the classroom rules set by the resource teacher because I saw how responsible
the learners are with their actions based on the rules they follow. They are well-behaved and
disciplined despite their age. They are very respectful and most importantly show
hospitality to the visitors. They do not do the things that are not allowed in the classroom.
From my perspective as a pre-service teacher, using these rules will be easier for me to
manage my class and achieve the learning outcomes effectively.
