You are required to develop a sample of the table of specifications from which to set a test for
any of your teaching subjects.

INSTRUCTIONS;
This paper contains two sections i.e. Section 1 and Section2, Section 1 questions carry equal
marks and are compulsory.
Section 2 questions carry same marks and students are only required to attempt only one
question from this section.
Write the answers in the spaces provided for section one and on the answer sheets for section
two.
Students are required to use on blue ball point pens for uniformity and any sketchy unclear work
will not be marked.
SECTION ONE (20marks) Attempt all questions
1. As an upcoming cytologist, you have had an immense interaction with the history of
cells, On this basis briefly describe the major postulates of the cell theory identifying the
cross cutting entities (10mks)
2. There are two major types of cells i.e. Plant cells and animal cells .On this basis describe
the major functions of all the organelles as seen by electron microscopy. (5mks)
3. Briefly compare and contrast the structure and anatomy of prokaryotic and eukaryotic
cells. (5mks)
SECTION TWO (30 Marks) Attempt only one question of your choice.

.According to the electron microscopy techniques, several cell organelles could be realized and
using these techniques answer the following questions
Briefly describe the stages involved in mitosis and attach clear illustrations of the processes.
