    Q1: A square thread power screw with Bronze nut operating at efficiency of 50% in dry conditions

    with applied torque of 100Nm moving the load of 50kN. Determine the following

    a. Diameter, pitch and lead for the power screw

    b. The system self -locking at desired efficiency, in case of no self-locking design the collar

    for providing friction against cast iron body.

    c. The stress generating at the root of the power screw thread

    d. System safety factor for applied load
